Katrina Darcell McCann-Reed

Katrina McCann-Reed was born, May 29, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio , to Farice and Katie McCann. She gained her wings, on February 18, 2021,after a short illness. Katrina fought her illness until the end and still maintained her faith. Her family will miss her tremendously, but our fervent prayer is her mother, whom she lovingly cared for until her death, who was there to meet her as she crossed to the other side.<br><br>Katrina was baptized Catholic, but later changed her faith to Baptist, joining the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member until death.<br><br>Katrina met the love of her life, Ernest Reed, May 17, 1991, whom she remained with until death, assisting him in rearing his five children and grandchildren. Ernest cared lovingly for Katrina, and was by her side until the end of her life's journey.<br><br>Katrina was employed as a Phlebotomist and Manager for Biolife. She later changed her employment to the American Red Cross for 17 yeas, where she remained employed until her death, as a Aspheresis Technician. Katrina was loved by co-workers and donors who became friends as well as donors.<br><br>Katrina loved to cook, shop, travel and spend time with family plus friends. Her grandchildren loved loved spending time at "granny's house". Hercaring spirit will forever leave a mark on all those who came in contact with her. <br><br>Katrina was preceded in death by both parents, sisters, LaAna McCann and Addie More; brothers, Robert and Leonard McCann.<br><br>Katrina is survived by husband, Enest; daughters, Brittany, Ernisha and DeAnna; sons, Ernest, IV and Donte; grandchildren, Earnest, Enyjah, Little Dontau, Brielle and Litttle Erneie; sister, Kimberly McCann; brothers, Farice (Lavern) McCann and Samuel Gardner; adopted sisters, Emily (John) Whitlow, Latonya Parker and Sophia Houston; special friend/daughter and a host of family, friends amd American Red Cross co-workers.
