<p>Connie K Downey, loving mother, grandma, and great grandma (Meme) passed away on January 22, 2017 with her family surrounding her at Swedish Hospital in Issaquah. She was a long time resident of West Seattle and for the last 10 years resided in Issaquah to be closer to her family.<br><br>Connie was born on November 09, 1937 in Spokane WA to Elmo and Esther Solseng and grew up there. In her younger years she played softball, sang as a soloist at church and at school and was the church organist for the Methodist church near her home. She was a bookkeeper, business woman, golfer, pinochle player and so much more. Everything she did she did with excellence. &nbsp;<br><br>Connie loved her God and her family more than anything else and she was “mom” to most of the neighborhood kids wherever she lived. She attended hundreds if not thousands of sporting events, choir concerts, school programs and anything else any of her family was involved in.<br><br>She was proceeded in death by her daughter Kathleen (Bill) Fazekas. She is survived by her children: Kristine LaBelle, Douglas (Lori) Downey, Jr. and Kimberly (Tim) Egerton, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with one more on the way.<br><br>A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Issaquah February 11 at 10am and is open to anyone who loved her.<br><br></p>
