“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it” ~Norman Maclean Jerid Martin Kirschenheiter was tragically taken from us on February 8, 2021 doing what he loved with one of his best friends Jared Russell, adventuring in the great outdoors. Jerid left behind his best friend and wife Rose Kirschenheiter and their beloved daughters Quinn and Seeley of Clinton, Montana. He was born December 18, 1980 in Missoula, MT where he lived out the days of his life, the son of proud parents Eugene and Lynette Kirschenheiter, whom he also left behind. Jerid is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Louise Kirschenheiter, Grandfather Raymond Smith, and his Aunt Linda Enger. Jerid is survived by his wife and kids, mother and father, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dave and Lori Nordby, brother-in-law Sam Nordby, Grandmothers, Judy Smith and Laureen Graefe, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. From childhood, Jerid was raised to embrace the adventure around him. Growing up in Montana he spent the spring and summer fishing and the fall and winter hunting. Gene and Lynette cherished their only son and instilled a love and respect for nature, creating lifelong memories around a campfire with friends and family or relishing in the moment of a big catch or hunt. After high school, Jerid began at Temp Right Service in 1999, in the shop as a laborer, the start of a very successful career and the formation of friendships that felt more like family. Jerid worked his way up to being a Lead Project Manager, exemplifying tremendous work ethic and passion for his trade which was evident in the craftsmanship he was able to produce as well as the professional relationships he formed along the way. During this time, Jerid would meet and fall in love with his best friend Rose, whom he married on September 16, 2006. They welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world, Quinn and Seeley, Jerid’s pride and joy. He worked hard to inspire the same passion and love for the outdoors in his girls, evident in the stories of their unbreakable bond that he would proudly share when given the opportunity. Jerid and Rose built a life of adventure and memories in place of tangible items to share with their daughters, which will be carried forever in their hearts. Jerid’s favorite place to be was outdoors, spending time with his family and friends (who became family), laughing and enjoying all that life had to offer. He worked hard and played harder. He was a man of generosity and integrity who gave his whole heart to his family, friends, community and his profession. His smile was the most genuine sign of a caring and loving man who will live on in our hearts and memories every day. Jerid left us, a loved and important man. Rest in peace Jerid, we will miss you. A private joint memorial and celebration of life for Jerid and Jared will be held at a later date. Sadly, with COVID restrictions, capacity will be limited and guests will be notified by family.
