Kendra Butts, 48, of Altamont died at 6:08 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare Catholic Church, Altamont with Rev. T. Joseph Havrilka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Clare Cemetery, Altamont. There will be a prayer service followed by a 4-7 p.m. visitation on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. Memorials may be made to the Crossroads Cancer Center, Effingham. COVID-19 protocol including but not limited to face covering, social distancing and limited numbers of people will be required. Kendra Ann Butts was born on Friday, April 14, 1972 to Joe and Diana (Bushur) Pullen at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. She married Allen Butts on June 14, 1996. She was employed at People’s Bank, Altamont. She was a very feisty person who had a laugh that made everybody else laugh. Kendra enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and doing her nails. She was a loving person and the best mom ever. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Wyatt Butts, Effingham; daughter, Gracelin Butts, Altamont; mother, Diana Bushur, Effingham; brother, Tony Pullen, Effingham; nieces and nephews, Turner and Rece Pullen, Berkley Pullen, Tyler Polk, Taylor (Jessica) Polk, Dakota Kuhlman, Zeke Rippetoe, Riley Rippetoe, Harrison Baird; aunts, Marilyn Lane, Effingham and Denise Pullen, Shelbyville; uncles, Carl Bushur, Earl Bushur, and Robert Bushur, Effingham. She was preceded in death by; her father; maternal grandparents, Tony and Clara (Kollmeyer) Bushur and paternal grandparents, Vernon and Romanle (Adams) Pullen and niece, Riley Pullen.
