A shock to see her passing. I served as her VP when she was Pres of MRPA in the late 1980s. She was a joy to work on her team. Inspirational with uplifting laughter

I'm having a hard time even acknowledging Laura's passing. I got to know Laura through the Academy. Some members just stand out, and she was one of those. She was so full of life. I liked her instantly when we met, and I'm so sad to lose her.

I knew Laura from the Columbia Festival of the Arts. She was so amazing, special and kind. Even though I did not see her often, it was good just to know she was here.
