Micheline Gaudin

Micheline Gaudin (nee Pierre), of Roselle, New Jersey passed away February 17, 2021. She was born on September 29, 1942 to Petula Dornelus and Faustin Pierre in Cabaret, Haiti. She was married to the late Abel Lessage Gaudin. She is survived by her children, Pierre Gaudin and his wife Viviane, Marie-Carmel Adam and her husband Jean Adam Sr., Louis Andre Gaudin and his wife Michelle Gaudin, Idelande Gaudin, Joseph Gaudin, Marlene Jones and Miclans Gaudin-Smith and her husband John Smith. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, Edward Gaudin, Jeffrey Gaudin, Gregory Gaudin, Marisa Adam, Sebastien Gaudin, Jean Adam, Jr., Malisa Gaudin, Louismichel Gaudin, Avia Smith, NyAsia Jones and Jazmine Smith. She possesses a host of great grandchildren, nephews, and cousins. She is preceeded by her parents Petula Dornelus and Faustin Pierre. Her husband Abel Lessage Gaudin and her sister Solange Annilus. Micheline had a humble beginning in Haiti. At the age of 28, she came to the United states where she worked various jobs. She worked in other people’s homes, hotels and factories. Her last job was with appliance manufacturer Frigidaire where she worked the assembly line. Micheline became a Untied States citizen in her early 30’s. She petitioned residency for all qualified relatives to come and live in the United States. THIS IS HER LEGACY! Her siblings, their children and spouses were able to leave Haiti and come to the United States and ultimately become American citizens. Micheline was an accomplished homemaker and home decorator. She took pride in decorating her home and enhancing the interior to achieve a new look for every season. She loved to shop and had a special appreciation for fashion. She was a collector of beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories. Micheline enjoyed travelling and she was always excited about going on vacation. Most of all she was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Viewing ceremony will be held on Tuesday 2/23/2021 from 9:00-10:30 in the morning at the Werson Funeral Home 635 North Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey 07036, followed by an 11:00 am mass at St. Joseph the Carpenter Church located at 143 East 3rd Avenue, Roselle, New Jersey. The burial will take place at 12:00 at the Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.
