Jerry Fullarton

1948 - 2021

     It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gerald Michael Fullarton of Lacombe, Alberta on February 18, 2021 at the age of 72 years. Jerry was born in New Brunswick in 1948. There he leaves his special Fullarton clan, “Uncle Paul” and his family, to move out west in the late 1970’s. Here, he established a fulfilling life raising his children with first wife, “Linda” on a farm east of Red Deer. He was a long volunteer member of the 1390 Red Deer Army Cadets and dedicated his career to carpentry. In his later life, he built and renovated various businesses in Red Deer such as Patty’s restaurant, Branley’s nightclub, Brandon County, Catwalk, Bell Fever Lounge, Uptown Liquor store and many other projects.

     Throughout the years, Jerry gave his loyalty to his late wife “Annie” and their pup “Bear”. He was survived by his own children and grandchildren; son Jerry (Tracy), Kiera and Kaylee; daughter Pam (James), Meghann, Carmen and Molly; son Chuck (Leanne), Sean and Devyn; Anne’s children Traci and Carrie (Barry); step-grandchildren Mariah, Sydney, Mitchell, Charelle, Shea and Keaton. We would also like to mention his extended family, survived by his sisters and nephews and step-brothers, Francine (Russell and Derek), Quincy (Kristine), Brian, Daryl, Mark, and Robert.

      Jerry enjoyed meeting people and surrounding himself with his family and friends. He took great pleasure spending his time (when health permitted) to bowling, golfing, camping, fishing, campfire guitars, cooking, watching day-time TV game shows, playing the Lotto 649, late night poker games, evening happy hour with his roomie Kevin, or getting skunked by Pete. Jerry had many special friends that gave him strength in difficult times, provided him with healing, laughter and endless entertainment but mostly, surrounded him with love. He always extended his generosity to all those who knew him. Jerry never held back expressing his unique character, goofy sense of humor and being ferociously obstinate! He surely left his mark with everyone he met while maintaining his independence to the bitter end. Jerry was a “tough old bugger” and he NEVER let his progressive illnesses keep him from these things!

A Celebration of Life will light up at Wilsons Beach Campground this Canada Day long weekend.
