Ila B. Prince, 97, of Decatur, MI, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021, at her daughters' home in Traverse City, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for immediate family members on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 11:00a.m. The burial will be held at the Hamilton Township Cemetery, Decatur, MI. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. On October 25, 1944, Ila married Jess W. Prince at a ceremony in Benton Harbor. Ila was a member of Lawrence Senior Citizens and the Grace Baptist Church in Lawrence. She enjoyed gardening, family reunions plus playing board and card games, especially Spoons. Ila is survived by her three daughters, Judith (Emil "Sonny" Ramirez III) Prince of Traverse City, MI., Susan Mullard of Portage, MI. and Mary Jane (Robert) Runowski of South Dakota ; Six grandchildren, Eleven great grandchildren. Ila was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis W and Susie Howard Pearl; her husband of 51 years, Jess W. Prince plus two brothers, Franklin and Carson Pearl.
