Damico Miguel Gipson was born July 5, 1973 to the late Cheryl Ann Skinner and Carl Michael Gipson. On February 8, 2021, Damico transitioned from time to eternity. In 1991, Damico, who was lovingly called “Skip” by his family and friends that cherished him sincerely, graduated from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, California. He later relocated back to his home city of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, where he embraced his career as a professional truck driver for twenty-eight years and was a co-owner of Gipson Bros. Trucking. Damico (47) leaves a legacy of love, compassion and service to all who knew him. Those that cherish the precious memories of “Skip” are his devoted friend Madeline Breaux, three beloved brothers, Dwayne Marc (Raynell), Demond Maurice (Wanza) and Davion Marcel (Catherine) Gipson. Fourteen nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cheryl Skinner, Carl Gipson and stepfather, Roland Skinner, Sr. A niece, Destini M. Gipson, maternal grandparents, James and Ollie Wilson and paternal grandparents, Clarence Sr. and Olevia Gipson. Life Celebration Services will be held at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 421 St. Patrick St, Donaldsonville, LA, on Saturday, February 20, 2021.
