John Stephen Duffy

SIMPSONVILLE, SC-John Stephen Duffy, of Simpsonville, SC age 29, formerly of Bronx, New York left us to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2021. He died alongside his wife, Lindsey Catherine Belcher Duffy, in an automobile accident. He was a loving husband, father, son and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Valerie Duffy and his sister Hannah Duffy. He is survived by his daughter, Emmeryn Hannah Duffy, his maternal grandmother, Mary Mulcahy Quinley, his paternal grandfather, Valerio and Lisa Chiera, his aunts and uncles, Linda and Christopher O’Brien, Annette and Phillip Mohan, Jeffery and Debbie Mahoney, and Randall and Ame Chiera. Also surviving are his cousins William Hair, Kim and Brian Forshey, Tara O’Brien, Eamonn O’Brien, Brendan and Lauren Mohan, Rory Mohan, Abigail Mahoney, Emeline Mahoney, Meaghan and Brian Stascavage, Randall Jr. Chiera and Helen Chiera. There will be a graveside service for family and extended church family on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Owens-Tackett-Belcher Cemetery on Route 63, located near the Big Ridge Presbyterian Church with Pastor Anthony Dallison officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. John and Lindsey will be sorely missed. PER COVID GUIDELINES MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE REQUIRED.
