**DUE TO UPCOMING INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE FUNERAL HAS BEEN CHANGED TO TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2021** Daniel Michael Palmieri, Sr., 88, of Dresher, PA passed away on February 12, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen (Plunkett) Palmieri. Dan was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 19, 1932 to the late Daniel and Geraldine “Jenny” (Visciei) Palmieri. He was the owner and operator of Daniel’s Shoe Service that served the community for over 80 years. Daniel retired in 2015. During his younger years he enjoyed trips to Wildwood Crest and later enjoyed going to Avalon, Maine and Hilton Head. He loved opera, classical music and collecting antiques. He was an avid sports fan especially of the Phillies. He is survived by his 4 children: Linda Petrillo (Michael), Carol James (Arturo), Anita Palmieri, Daniel Palmieri, Jr. (Judith Ann); 10 grandchildren: Michael III, Brandon, Gregory, Patrick, Alexandra, Bradley, Daniel III, Nicole, Kyle, Chase; 3 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Margo, Ben and one to be expected. He was predeceased by sisters Antoinette Ferrino and Marie Lombardini. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Ave., Maple Glen, PA 19002. A viewing will be from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Church. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dan to the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal Shrine, 475 E. Chelten Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144.
