Martha L. Swallie

Martha L. Swallie, 87, passed away on February 12, 2021. She was born on November 27, 1933 the daughter of the late Charles Pekari and Helen Mick. Martha retired after many years and fond memories as the head cook at Hoover High School. She was a woman of great faith and was a member of Northwest Church of Christ. Martha was known for her sense of humor, her loving heart and her great compassion. She had many accomplishments but her greatest was her love for her family whom she dedicated her life to and was very proud of them. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband John W.K. Swallie; daughter Margaret Goulet; grandson Justin Mulheim; sister Doris Hissom; and stepfather John Mick. Martha is survived by her loving family, children Kim (Randy) Mulheim, Jay (Theresa) Swallie, and Camalia (Michael) Hair; grandchildren John (Sandra) Goulet, Zachary Goulet, Brittany (John) Dostal, and Jay Dee (Janna) Swallie; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Mike Mick; brother-in-law Joe Brown; son-in-law Jim Goulet; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside Service will be held Friday at 11:00AM at North Canton Cemetery (7846 Pittsburg Ave NW North Canton) with Minister John Wright officiating.
