<p>Oakwood &ndash; Janet Sue Grove, 65, of Oakwood passed away at 6:30 PM on February 12, 2021 at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman, IL.</p> <p>Janet was born on September 14, 1955 the daughter of Dayle and Leona (Gephart) Leamons in Danville, IL.&nbsp; She married Daryl Grove on October 2, 1976 in Danville and he survives.&nbsp;</p> <p>Survivors include her husband, Daryl Grove of Oakwood, IL, one son Adam (Deidra Culbreth) Grove of Oakwood, IL, one daughter, Sarah Grove of Oakwood, il, one brother, Nolan (Marsha) Leamons of Danville, IL, one sister, Ruby (Jim) Berlin of Fairmount, IL, and one grandson, Ryder Grove of Oakwood, IL.&nbsp; Also surviving are a niece, Susanne (John) Wyatt of Chesapeake, VA, as well as family friends, Lori (Larry) Smith and family, Carlee Kiger and Lori Rouse.</p> <p>Janet is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dean Leamons and one infant sister, Anne Leamons.&nbsp;</p> <p>Janet was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church and lover her church family. She retired after working as a secretary for the Oakwood Junior High School. Janet adored all animals and loved spending time with her dog, &ldquo;Chuck&rdquo;. Janet had a great time with family, friends, and everyone&rsquo;s pets. Janet especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Ryder, who always made her smile. She also enjoyed dining out, some of her favorite establishments were La Potasina, Olive Garden and Cracker Barrel.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Special Thank You from the family to Missy Clendenen for her assistance during a medical crisis that is attributed to Janet&#39;s additional years of life. Also, a great many Thanks to Oakwood Emergency Rescue Service for taking so much care of Janet over the years as she struggled through her medical problems and especially the on day that the members, along with Fire Chief Jeremy Evans used their quick actions to allow Janet to come back to us to see another holiday. We will forever be grateful.&nbsp;</p> <p>A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Jessica LeCrone will officiate. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Friday, February 19. 2021 at the funeral home.</p> <p>It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation or services wear a mask and practice social distancing.</p> <p>Memorials may be made to C.A.R.A or to Hebron United Methodist Church.</p> <p>Please join Janet&rsquo;s family in sharing memories, photos and videos on her tribute wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com .</p>

Oakwood – Janet Sue Grove, 65, of Oakwood passed away at 6:30 PM on February 12, 2021 at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman, IL.
