David Leonidas Taylor, Sr.

David Leonidas Taylor, Sr, 73, of Fayetteville went to Heaven on Friday, February 12, 2021 in his loving wife’s arms of 50 years Brenda Taylor of Fayetteville. David was born in Wyndal, WV to his parents Carl and Juanita Taylor, who met him at Heaven's Gate along with brothers, William, Jim, James, and Joe. David retired from Elkem Metals and was a disabled Veteran and proudly served in the US Army. He loved to fish, watch WVU football and play the guitar. David married Brenda, March 1971 and had 3 children, Chuck (Jeana) Taylor, Dave (Cassidy) Taylor, and Lisa (Bruce) Marshall. He loved all 7 of his grandchildren, Isiah, Faith, Mary-Kate, Graydon, Isabella, Livia, and Asher. David loved his favorite niece Myra and was so proud of her service to this Country. He is also survived by brothers, Jack, Dan, Roy, and Roger. Service will be Saturday, February 20 at Wallace & Wallace, Ansted at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. A special thank to the Beckley VAMC 6th Floor Nursing staff for taking such good care of him.
