Eileen Mae (Rolland) Wegrzyn, 91, formerly of Adams and Pittsfield, died on Friday, February 12, 2021 at The Oaks of Mayview in Raleigh, North Carolina. Eileen was born in Adams on January 4, 1930 and grew up there. She was the daughter of Lawrence P. and Lillian (Lefebvre) Rolland and the wife of John A. Wegrzyn, all of Adams, who predeceased her. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Adams. She attended local schools and graduated from Adams High School in June 1948. She attended North Adams State College. She was previously employed by Shea’s Department Store formerly on Park Street in Adams, the former Sprague Electric Company in North Adams, with the General Electric Company and later with the GE Naval Ordnance Division in Pittsfield. Eileen is survived by her sister, Eleanor (Rolland) Kittler of Cheshire; her sons, Dr. John Wegrzyn of Monterey, TN, James Wegrzyn of Kerhonkson, NY, and Joel Wegrzyn of Pittsboro, NC; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Catholic Requiem Mass and a Celebration of Life Reception will be announced at a future date and remains will be buried in the family plot, Bellevue Cemetery, in Adams.
