Matthew John Currier II
Matthew John Currier II, age 39, of Lynn, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February 12, 2021. He was the son of Matthew John Currier I of Lynn and the late Donna (Marshall) Currier. Born in Lynn in 1981, Matthew was raised and educated in Lynn. He attended Sacred Heart School and both St. Mary’s High School and Lynn Classical High School, graduating in 1999 and later received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix. Matthew worked in the financial services division at many student loan lending agencies including American Student Assistance (ASA) for many years. Growing up, he played baseball for Wyoma Little League. He was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the New England Patriots, and enjoyed playing video games. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved sons, watching their basketball and soccer games and hanging out with them whenever he could. In addition to his father, Matthew is survived by his loving sons, Matthew John Currier III and Jameson Christopher Currier and their mother Susan (Hanlon) Paquin all of Exeter, NH; his sister Crystal Covello and her husband Sam of Auburn; his brother Joseph Currier of Lynn; his nieces Carissa and Hazel and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn from 4-7p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at 7p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and are required to adhere to the guidelines of the CDC, the State of Massachusetts and the Local Board of Health, which allows up to 40 family and friends in the funeral home at a time and all are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, donations in Matthew’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
