Bruce F. Watson

Bruce F. Watson, 78, of John Street, West Hurley, NY, passed from this this life on Monday, February 8th, 2021 just days before his 79th birthday. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, on February 12th, 1942, a son of the late Bernard and Theresa Watson. He was the brother of two sisters, Christine Kappel and Lorraine Hawxwell, and brother to Clifford Watson. Bruce, together with his wife, established and operated Watson Memorials for over 45 years. A father to Madeline (Karl) Hoetger and Amy (Sean) White, and a pappa to Gabriella Pugliese, Amelia Hoetger, Sean Patrick White and Lauren Hoetger, and friend, Nancy Ross. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Ernestine (Tardiff) "Tina" Watson, who died in 2013. The family has entrusted the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, with the care and cremation arrangements for Bruce. There are no services planned.

I remember the sailing vacations that Bruce and I took; I had a Sunfish. One one, we sailed clear across the St Lawrence to Canada!

Bruce and I got into a lot of mischief back when we were in the National Guard which was totally different than what it is today. That he had passed last February seems hard to fathom.
