James J. Collins

COLLINS, JAMES J., 100, passed away on Sunday, January 22nd. Best known to his friends as "JJ", he was a long-time resident of Pawtucket before moving to Sarasota, Florida. He was the beloved husband of the late Gladys Collins. He leaves a devoted daughter, Linda, and her husband Benjamin Paster, a cherished grand-daughter, Nicole, and her husband Keith Campbell and an adored great grand-daughter, Eleanor Lynne. James was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Francis and Edward Collins and sisters, Helen Nally, Agnes Rogers and Rose Pelosi. James was the son of the late Rose (Layden) and James Collins. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 26th, from 5-7pm at the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI, with a private burial Friday at the Moshassuck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Online condolences www.WoodlawnGattone.com.
