Bobby Howard Ledford

Bobby Howard Ledford, age 76, of Oak Ridge, passed away at home February 12, 2021 after a long illness. He was born to JD & Lillian McDonald Ledford on August 4, 1944 in Murphy, NC. Bobby was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War and a member of Central Baptist Church since 2006. After he was discharged from the Army he worked for many years at K-25, Y-12, ORNL, and as maintenance and painting supervisor at X-10 until retiring in December 1999. Even while Bobby was employed fulltime, he always worked long hours remodeling houses, painting, and doing tile. He was very talented and could fix up just about anything. Bobby loved music, playing the guitar and the banjo, taking and developing pictures in his dark room, fishing, quilting, hiking, and camping. He was preceded in death by parents, JD & Lillian Ledford, and brother, Johnny Ledford. Survivors include loving wife, Patricia Ledford, daughter, Vonda Ledford, step-son, Brian Wilson, grandchildren, Kayla Aloisi, Caitlin Barnes Nobles, Kaden Barnes, and Kimber Wilson, sisters, Jean Weisgerber and husband David, and Brenda Ralston and husband Cal, sister-in-law, Brenda Ledford, special cousin, Dean McDonald and wife Michelle, niece, Lynn Rose, and nephew, Darrell Weisgerber. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: The Caring Center at Central Baptist Church, 130 Providence Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37380.
