Earl Donald James, age 65, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus. He was born October 19, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late Rose (nee Mitchell) and Charles James.
He is survived by a daughter Stacie Renee (Wesley) Blanks of Crystal City, Missouri; sons Travis Amad James of St. Louis, Missouri, and Earl Donnie James of St. Louis; sisters Joann (the late Washington) Durrett of Milwaukee, Rosemary James of Milwaukee, Brenda (Lee) Cook of Festus, and Darlene James of Beaumont, Texas; brothers Clifton James of Festus, Charles A. James, Jr. of Festus, and Tracy Beard James of Festus; grandchildren Wesley Matthew Blanks, Jr., Matthew Weston Blanks, Trenton Matthew Blanks, Destiny Indigo Blanks, Ahneyus Dominik James, Travis Armand James, Indigo Nesertari-Shabass James, and Imhotep Shabazz-el James; great-grandchildren Sylas Blanks, and Mikayah Blanks; special niece Nikki James; and numerous extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Coraine Mitchell; and a granddaughter Indigo Simone Williams.
He served in the National Guard; and had worked as a machinist for the former Soundolier Corp. in Festus, and Boeing in St. Louis.
Memorial gathering from 2:00 P.M. until the time of memorial service at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by Bishop Ronald Luellen.
