Chloe Victoria York Obituary

On Monday, February 8th, 2021 our beloved Chlobug was received into the arms of her Savior peacefully with a smile on her face surrounded by her Daddy and Mommy. She is survived by both her parents, Matthew and Katie York and one brother, Richard York as well as grandparents and many other extended family members. Chloe Victoria York was born on Tuesday, May 10th, 2005 in Boise Idaho. Chloe was a fighter from day one. In spite of being told by many doctors that Chloe would never make it to birth, this girl was determined to prove everyone wrong! In her short 15 years of life, Chloe endured 28 surgeries and over 150 hospital stays. To say Chloe accomplished many things in her life that she was not supposed to be able to do is an understatement. As her family, we were determined to help her accomplish absolutely everything she was capable of. This little girl of ours on a daily basis amazed us. She had fight and determination in her very soul and with God on her side, she let nothing stop her. Anyone who got the privilege of knowing Chloe and working with her would tell you this little girl was one in a million. Chloe was a Winnie-the-Pooh fanatic and loved anything to do with Winnie the Pooh. She enjoyed her special truck drives with her Daddy where she would sit in the front seat so she could control the radio and tell Daddy where he needed to drive. She also enjoyed walks, watching Winnie-the-Pooh movies and getting to ride the bus to school as well as swim therapy. When Chloe was not in pain she had a beautiful smile on her face and would love to have quiet one-on-one chats with you. Early on in Chloe's life, we as a family clung to the Bible verse Jeremiah 33:3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not". If we had to sum up Chloe's life in a short phrase, that would be it. God showed us on a daily basis "Great and Mighty things"! Yes, the last 15 years have been filled with many challenges and tears but with those challenges, came innumerable cherished memories and time spent with our little treasure that we would not trade for the world! One thing we as her Mommy and Daddy would tell you is, God is a very present help in time of trouble. Countless times we found ourselves on our knees crying out to God for help. With total conviction we can tell you that God never once let us or Chloe down! Yes, we are grieving the loss of our beautiful girl, but we rejoice in the fact that for the first time in our Chloe's life she is pain free and walking the streets of gold while talking to her savior! It doesn't get any better than that. What a sweet assurance to know that if we can't have our baby girl here with us, we know the one who created her is the one that is caring for her! We will forever hold you in our hearts our sweet girl until we get to once again hold you in our arms!
