Larry A. “The Weatherman” Hampton Bay City, Michigan Larry passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region, age 74. He was born October 8, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to the late Raymond W. and Mary I. (Schmidt) Hampton. In Larry’s younger years he grew up in the Flint area and loved stopping daily at the donut shop in Flint. Even with Larry’s handicap he enjoyed working, not for the money either but for the companionships made and feeling he was appreciated for all he did during his time at McDonald’s, Red Lobster and Do-All, Inc. in Bay City. Larry was a member of Grace Church-East Campus in Bay City for many years. Those who knew Larry will always remember him as “Larry the Weatherman” for his up to date forecast anytime you wanted it, even a few days ahead as well. Surviving family members are one Brother Randy Hampton, one sister Linda Best, nephew James Hampton and nieces, Jennifer and Janice Hampton, sister-in-law Judy Hampton, cousins: Debra Field, Kathy Field, Becky Hendrick, Michelle Garner, Barb (Jack) Hinson, Don Adams, and Carol Smith and one Aunt Janet Field. Larry was predeceased by one brother Jerry Hampton. A Celebration of Larry’s Life will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, Mi 48706. Rev. Jeff Temple will officiate.
