Joseph Washington Baynard

Joseph Washington Baynard (J.W, Tubs, Uncle Tubby), 45, passed away at Pardee Hospital February 12, 2021 from Covid-19 complications. He was born February 1, 1976 in Hendersonville, NC at Pardee Hospital. J.W is youngest son to Bessie Baynard and the late Joseph Delmus Baynard, Sr. J.W graduated from Brevard High School, class of 1995 and attended one year of community college at AB Tech. He worked at Eaton Electrical in Arden, NC for 20 years firstly as an installer and most recently as a team lead. JW had incredible work ethic and leadership qualities that were admired and appreciated by his co-workers. Described as a tremendous leader and a truly great man. In his youth, J.W played football for Brevard, baseball for Transylvania Little League and went on to coach baseball for the same organization. He later played softball on a co-ed team league for Fat Cats and others for several years in Brevard, NC In May of 2007, J.W went to Johnson City, TN for a night away with friends. It was on this night that he met his forever "sweetie", Shannon. J.W pursued this long-distance relationship for seven years. Shannon relocated to Hendersonville to be with him and begin their lives together in their present home. They married in October 2016 after 10 years of togetherness. 14 Years of the kind of love that you can only hope for, only to have it exceed your wildest expectations. A true partnership, best friendship and romance. In addition to his father, Joseph Delmus Baynard, Sr. he was preceeded in death by his grandfather Joseph Jack Jones and grandmother Dorothy Arnold Ann Jones on his mother's side. Surviving in addition to his wife, Shannon Frazier, and his mother, Bessie Baynard are his brothers Joseph Jack (J.J) Baynard (Melanie) and Joseph Delmus Baynard (Paulette); sister, Dale Mountjoy (Buddy); aunts on his mother's side, Wilma King, Brenda Hughes, Kay Laughter (Barry), and Earlene Hughes (Mike). Additional surviving family members include his beloved nephew, Mason Baynard niece Madison Baynard, niece Mamie Aiken (Chris), nephew Scott Baynard (Candy) and great nieces, Addie Aiken, Katie Baynard, & Jenny Baynard, cousins Tony King (Sherri), Doug King (Tracy), Vickie Whitta (Stuart), Pam Miller (Paul), Jeffrey Hughes (Kerri), Joshua Laughter (Katlyn), Kimberley Hall (Hunter), Chris Hughes, and April Hughes (Brian), father in law, David Frazier (Cynthia), brother in-law Michael Browne (Kim) and aunt, Susie as well as many more cherished extended family, friends, and colleagues. A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday February 17th, 2021 at 11 AM at his gravesite, Blueridge Gardens of Memory, 994 Hendersonville Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC, 28768. In lieu of flowers, a donation site has been set up to help with burial costs. Prayers for Gods solace to all family members this day and all days to follow. 45 is way to young to leave this earthly life, but Gods plans are never wrong. He needed JW for reasons which may never be known. Condolences to you all.
