Maurice Cotta

Maurice J. Cotta, 71, of Toledo passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Advanced Specialty Hospital, Toledo. He was born on July 28, 1949 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Lino V. and Susan S. (Ferreira) Cotta. Maurice worked for Safeway Grocery Stores for 30 years, retiring in 2003. Maurice really loved Hawaii. He was an avid football fan and his favorite team was the San Francisco 49’ers. Maurice enjoyed carpentry and flipping houses and was known to be very handy around the house. Maurice is survived by his wife of 13 years, Lorraine (Desmarais) Cotta, daughter, Tiffany Cotta, granddaughter, Jamie Cotta, step-daughter, Ada Ewing, step-sons, Earl (Cheryl) Ewing and David (Tara Alexander) Ewing, 8 step-grandchildren, 5 great step-grandchildren, and sister, Margie Odale. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private services for Maurice will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Maurice may be given to any local hospice organization. The Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W.
