Albert Baehr Obituary

Albert W. Baehr of Hatboro, Pa., formerly of Olney, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015. He was 90. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Hoyler) Baehr, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert F. and Freda Baehr. Albert was a man of strong religious faith, whose quiet kindness was evident in his daily life. Generally soft-spoken, Al could light up a room with laughter introducing unanticipated humor into any conversation. Albert was a 32nd degree Mason with the Jerusalem Lodge #506 in Philadelphia as well as a member of the LuLu Shrine Temple. Known for his gentle nature, Albert especially loved spending time with his family, particularly when those gatherings involved good food. In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by his children, Ruth Howe (Richard), William Baehr (Ruth), and Janice Rosenbaum (Dan); five grandchildren, William J. Baehr, Gregory, Sarah and Kathryn Howe, and Connor Rosenbaum; and one great granddaughter, Suesan Lynn Baehr. Albert was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Marie Baehr. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, Pa., and to attend his Masonic service at 10:45 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, Pa. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations in Albert's memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140, or to the Huntingdon Valley Methodist Church, 3470 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
