Barbara Ann Gordin

GORDIN, Barbara A., age 83 of South Solon passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Sisters Senior Living in London. She was born the daughter of Marlin D. and Elizabeth Eloise (Henry) Gordin on January 13, 1938. Barbara leaves behind many beloved friends including her neighbor and caregiver for many years, Kevin & Diana Summers and their daughter, Lucy; Jean Daugherty who was another dear friend as well as all her cherished friends at the Madison County Senior Center. Barb was the office manager for Opekasit, Inc. for many dedicated years prior to retiring. After retirement, you could set your watch by Barb's schedule, she was a very busy lady and always enjoyed her time at the senior center. You could count on Barb being up for a game of hand and foot, or chair volleyball. Oftentimes she would ride her four wheeler over to Kevin and Diana's home just to see what they were up to or documenting Kevin's progress on one of his many projects. She also enjoyed bowling with friends and mystery lunches at the senior center. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with her funeral beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Ingling Williams & Lewis Funeral Home, South Charleston. Barb will be laid to rest by her parents in South Solon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barb's honor to Madison County Senior Center.
