Charles Clegg Hamilton

Charles “Clegg” Hamilton III, 64, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021. Clegg was born in Union County on May 10, 1956, son to the late Charles Clegg Hamilton Jr., and Lela Blanche Mullis Hamilton. He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law Billy White Bost. A service to honor Cleggs life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2021 Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110. Lakeview’s facility will accommodate the social distancing guidelines, asking those in attendance to please follow the mask mandate. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park with full Military Honors. Clegg is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Lynn Bost Hamilton, his pride and joy, daughter, Maggie Hamilton (Matthew McCormick) two sisters, Rheba Hamilton (Randy Price) and Betty Hamilton (Bob Sheppard); mother-in-law, Nancy Knight Bost; three nephews, Evan Price (Lucy), Jonah Price (Stephanie) and Matthew Price; one niece, Meghan Johnson (Josh), and brother-in-law, Billy Bost Jr. (Leslie). In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, 2701 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110, SFK American Legion, Post 535, 2220 Haigler-Baucom Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
