Gerald Gene Pierce, 81, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021, in his home. Gene was born on October 12, 1939 in Morriston, Arkansas to Samuel and Veatrice (Stuart) Pierce. Gene is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (Dusty) Jones of Jackson, Mississippi and Sandra Scott of South Bend, Indiana; five grandchildren, Melissa Fritz, Larry Pierce, Justin Arndt, Stephanie Scott and Lacey Evans; and four great-grandchildren, Alanna, Zoe, Noah, and Wyatt.  Gene was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Pierce Palmer and his former wife, JoAnn Bass.  He was a Master Car Builder and known by many for his amazing capabilities. Gene thoroughly enjoyed participating in car shows with his radical custom cars for which he has won numerous top awards. He had a plethora of friends both in and out of the car world. A memorial and burial will take place at a later date.
