<p>Mrs. Kathy Jo Strickland Howell, 72, of Fair Bluff, NC died Friday, February 12, 2021 in the McLeod Loris Hospital, in Loris, SC.</p> <p>She was born in Columbus County, NC on October 10, 1948: a daughter of the late George David Strickland and Kathleen Britt Strickland.</p> <p>Mrs. Howell was a homemaker.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Faye Strickland Jones.</p> <p>A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Powell Cemetery with Rev. Phyllis Elvington officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the cemetery. Interment will follow services.</p> <p>Surviving are a son and his wife, Christopher G. and Amy Howell, of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Beckham G. Howell and Shelby G. Howell, both of Raleigh.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Powell Cemetery Fund, c/o 1466 Causey Road, Fair Bluff, NC 28439.</p> <p>Services are entrusted to Meares Funeral Home of Fair Bluff.</p> <p> </p>October 10, 1948 - February 12, 202110/10/194802/12/2021
