Cecilia M. Wondrow, 91 of Goodview, passed away, Friday, February 12, 2021. Cecilia Mary was born November 19, 1929, in Winona to Peter and Helen (Zaborowski) Merchlewitz. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1947. On April 21, 1956, she married Gerald (Bucky) Wondrow at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Winona. Together they raised five children: Scott, Cheryl, Peggy, Kathy, and Thomas. Bucky preceded her in death June 11, 2002. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Winona. and was employed at Red Owl Bakery for many years. Celia enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins as well as the various birds and squirrels outside her windows. She was a member of Harvest House, which she and her sister Irene enjoyed years of bus trips through, as well as Merchants and Winona National Banks. They also enjoyed many shopping trips with Chery and Peggy, going to various towns and malls. Those ladies got around! Ceil is survived by her five children: Scott Wondrow; Cheryl (Daniel) Vaughn; Peggy (Mark) Przybylski; Kathy (Cathy Ingvalson) Wondrow; and Thomas Wondrow; two grandchildren: Jenna (Mike) Stark and Alex Vaughn; a great grandson Matthew Stark; a sister Phyllis Helgemoe, sister-in-law Pat Carroll and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bucky; six siblings: Marge Kohner; Irene Janikowski; Leonard, Richard, Frank, and her twin brother Robert (Bobby) Merchlewitz. A private funeral service will be held at Fawcett Junker Funeral Home, Winona with Reverend Michael Cronin, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Services entrusted to Fawcett Junker Funeral Home & Crematory, Winona, MN and Fountain City, WI.
