Robin Lee Kolba
The man, the myth, the legend.
May 4, 1964 – February 12, 2021
It is with immense heartbreak and disbelief that we announce the sudden passing of our hero on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 56 years.
Robin, also known to many as “Two Dogs” was the book you did not judge by his cover. Though he appeared to be rough and gruff, especially with that big ole handlebar mustache, he was a man who worked extremely hard, loved deeply and cared with his entire being. He always put others ahead of himself and played an important role in moulding many “children” into the fine people they are today. Over the many years spent on the road, Robin always felt fortunate for the countless life-long friendships that were made and kept throughout his travels all across North America.
Robin will forever be lovingly remembered by his true love, partner and princess, Laury; his children who taught him many invaluable lessons, Christopher (Laura), Adrian (Danie) and Aimee (Tyrel) Thompson; his grandchildren who kept him young and showed him a new kind of love, Tawnie, Kade, Thomas, Presely, Isabell, Jaggar, Jennings, Tate, Parks and Tripp. Robin also held a very special place in his heart for his in-laws, Marg (Bill) Wood and Mae (Joe) Beatty. In addition, Robin is survived by his siblings, Dianne (Dave) Pointon, Perry, Wanda and Yvonne; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, as well as the many friendships made at Prairie Mountain, Lydell Group and over the course of his various trips up and down many a highway.
…because heroes aren’t supposed to die
