It is with much love and great sorrow that the family of Ethel Mary Myhre of Cold Lake, Alberta, announces her passing on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 99 years. Ethel loved music and throughout her life sang & played many instruments including the guitar & autoharp. She became a member of the Eastern Star on November 30, 1970, a 50 year achievement & also was a long standing Legion member. Ethel will be forever remembered and loved by her three children: Elaine (Irv) Gillard of Courtenay, BC, Charles (Linda) Myhre of Cold Lake, AB, Merrilynne (Howard) Brown of Victoria, BC; six grandchildren: Richard (Viktoria) Gillard, Angela Brown, Karen (Ron) Dodd, Shari Li, Joanne (Craig) Myhre Copeland, Jaylene (Alan) Haggerty; eleven great grandchildren: Rylee Haggerty (Eric Gauthier), Alana Haggerty, Carter Haggerty, Emma Brown, Matthew Brown, Kailey Dodd, Chris Dodd, Taylor Li, Jordyn Li, Lauren Myhre, Anna Serbina; two great grandchildren: Oaklyn Gauthier, Zylah Gauthier; as well as numerous other relatives. Ethel was predeceased by her husband: Melvin Myhre on December 16, 1998; parents: Charles & Flossie Ryall; five brothers: Frank, Ed, Bill, Charlie, Jim; four sisters: Thelma, Vera, Mabel & Laura. A private family funeral service, Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Memento Funeral Chapel, Cold Lake, Alberta. Final resting place, Lakeview Cemetery, Cold Lake, Alberta.
