Doris Elizabeth Richardson BONNYVILLE, Alberta Obituary

Doris Elizabeth Richardson

It is with sad hearts that the family of Doris Richardson of Bonnyville, Alberta announces her passing with family by her side, on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Doris Richardson(nee Adshead) was the oldest of three children born to Joe and Florence Adshead at Mackinson's Landing in the Arrow Lakes BC Oct 10 1934. Doris married Johnnie Wong in 1953 and they had one daughter Marcia. Johnnie passed away in 1956. Doris eventually moved to Vancouver with her daughter Marcia. There she met Denis Richardson in 1958 and they married in 1960. Together they raised Marcia and 4 more children, Heather, Denise, Dwayne and Crystal. In 1968 they moved to Grand Centre, Alberta (now known as Cold Lake South). Among other things, Doris also loved to garden, and took pride in both her vegetable and her flower gardening. In her earlier years she also liked sewing and knitting. Doris dedicated her life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and symbolized it by water baptism on July 14, 1962. She loved Jehovah and devoted 33 years to the fulltime ministry work of teaching others. The hope the bible promises, at Psalm 37:10, 11, 29 and Revelation 21:4, for a future paradise right here on earth was very real in her heart and mind. It was this hope and her great love for Jehovah that inspired her to volunteer a good part of her life to teaching others about the bible. Though she has 5 children, who she loved very much, she also has many spiritual children, sisters, and brothers who she helped learn the truth of the bible. Despite the fact there were many trials throughout her life she never gave up in her service to her God Jehovah. Her faith in the future promise of a resurrection found at John 5:28 were as real to her as the assurance of the rising and setting of the sun. Doris is survived by her five children: Marcia (Peter)Moll, Heather Richardson, Denise (Brad)Scott, Dwayne (Kim)Richardson and Crystal Richardson; Grandchildren: Caroline Kur, Tara Kur, Willy Desjarlais, Alanna Desjarlais, Daryl Desjarlais, Alandra Scott, Braden Scott, Corbin Scott, Aaron Krall, Roxanne Krall, Kevin Zazula, Kyler Zazula.
