Robert Vartan Boudoughian, age 88, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Seta (Cholakian) Boudoughian, was a devoted father of George Boudoughian (Anise) and daughter, Alice Hallajian (Andrew), loving grandfather of Karnic, Ardem and Maral Boudoughian, and Anna and Armen Hallajian.
Robert was born in Bucharest, Romania and was a loving son to survivors of the Armenian Genocide – Karnic and Agnes Boudoughian. He immigrated to New York in 1962 from Romania through Beirut. Anyone that knew him could attest to his easy going, fun and loving nature. His love and dedication to his family was always his primary focus. He was truly a family man. Robert was a member of the St. Leon’s Armenian Church in Fair Lawn, NJ and he enjoyed family events such as picnics, gathering during holidays, and family vacations.
He also enjoyed playing backgammon and Bridge with his many friends in the community. He worked at Equitable Life Insurance (Cigna) as an Analyst for over 32+ years in Manhattan, NY while going to college in the evenings to earn his Bachelors Degree. He was a dedicated professional; a hard worker.
His endless devotion to his family will forever be remembered and his energetic spirit will be cherished by all those who had the great fortune to know and love him.
