Heather L. Shover Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Heather Louise Shover, 50, of Mogadore, passed away on February 8, 2021.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Rusty Shover, married for over 25 years, with whom she created a beautiful life and family.  Their children David Miller, Jory Miller and Cheyenne Shover.  Niece and nephew Sydney Diroll and Gage Neckar, that she loved as her very own children.  Her parents, Vicky Miller (K’Meyer) and Chuck Miller (Diane). Her sisters, Odessa Martin (Duane), Chelsie Miller (Kenny) and Gia Conley. Her brother, Charlie Miller.  Nieces and nephews, Gerald, Ayden, Ella, Alivia and Addison.  Special grandsons, Ashton and Adrian.  Heather also had special lifelong friendships with Jennifer States and Melanie Misko, both of whom she considered sisters.

Heather was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Louise Lyons.  Grandparents, Richard and Lydia Plaisted and her Aunt Rocky (Roxeanne Kish).  Mother-in-law Barbara Searson, and father-in-law Robert Shover.  Heather was also welcomed by her dear animals who departed before her, Rocky, Addrienne, Nelly and KiKi.

Heather was an incredible friend to so many.  She leaves a legacy of friendships, both lifelong and new.  She was a mother figure to many of her children's friends and many of her younger cousins.

Her smile and laugh could light up a room. If she loved you, she gave you the most pure, honest and forgiving love.  She was a gorgeous light to everyone she loved and we will forever miss her laughter.

Heather was an avid gardener and she loved her plants.  Give her a seed and she will grow a beautiful flower.  Giver her a twig and she will grow a tree. She loved her pets as well; they brought her great comfort during her brief illness.

Heather shared a love of butterflies with her late Grandma Lyons.  Friends and family should always know that if a butterfly is near, she is with us in spirit.  Please shine your glow upon us Heather, as we struggle here without you.

Your heart broken like bits of glass.  It may never be the same. Like the shimmering pieces that find their way to the beach, your broken heart will be soothed. The pieces rounded and smooth, different, but whole.

Due to COVID-19, there will be no services at this time.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date as determined by the family.

Heather was passionate about many different social causes and the family asks that in lieu of flowers you make a donation in her honor to the Akron Charity and Village, a homeless shelter in Akron.
