Norman R. York, age 70 of Vineland passed away on Monday evening, February 1, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center, related to complications of COVID-19. Norman was born on April 15, 1950 in Norwich, NY. Norman was a longtime employee of Halco Mailing Service. He enjoyed collecting CD's and listening to music, especially classic rock n' roll and blues. One of his fondest memories was being present for 3 days of peace and music at the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. Norman cherished being a PopPop and spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Willis and Ada York. Norman is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol (Sandy) Tayvinsky; a daughter, Irene Forty and son-in-law, Luis; 3 grandchildren, Charlie (Luis), Grace, and Skylar Forty who always made him smile; a sister, Deena Key and a brother, Cecil York, as well as several nieces and a nephew. Due to the current pandemic final visitation was private. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Norman's family would like to extend their gratitude to Bayada Hospice staff Danielle Trout and Pastor Karen for their compassion. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S.
