Adrian – Roger Henricks, age 77, of Adrian, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at his home under the loving care of his family. He was born on May 16, 1943, in Wauseon, OH, the son of Clifford and Annabelle (Perkins) Henricks. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Adrian College and was employed by the State of Michigan as a Social Worker, spending his career advocating for the children of Lenawee County. On June 6, 1986, in Adrian, Roger married Helen Dennis and she survives. Roger enjoyed woodworking, and lunch with his buddies at Hoagie Man. Tending to and delivering his roses throughout Adrian as random acts of kindness, filled his summers. Rogers greatest love was his family, from playing with the grandchildren or attending their sporting events. In addition to his wife, Helen, Roger is survived by his four sons, Craig (Whitney) Henricks of Adrian, Ben (Heather Nash) Lorenz of Ann Arbor, , Joel (Jennifer) Henricks of Adrian, and Matt (Samantha Wiley) Lorenz of Chicago, IL; daughter, Wendy (Jamie) Henricks of Dundee; three brothers, Richard (Sue) Henricks of Ohio, Terry (Pam) Henricks of Ohio, and Tim (Brenda) Long of Michigan; sister, Nancy (Don) Krieger of Ohio; and eight grandchildren, Lauren, Aidan, Collin, Elise, Desmond, Ella, Leila, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents. Per Roger’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. The memorial service will be private with Fr. Michael Newman as celebrant. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and social distancing regulations, only a limited number of individuals will be allowed in the chapel at a time and face coverings are required.
