Genevieve M. Foreman, 86, of Vandergrift, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, in the Indian Haven Nursing Center, Indiana, Pa. Born Aug. 3, 1929, in Vandergrift, she was the daughter of the late D. Edgar and Marie Rodgers Claypoole. Genevieve was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church in Vandergrift. She enjoyed bowling, shopping and spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Buffy. Survivors include her son, Greg (Virginia) Foreman, of Penn Run; two daughters, Cindy (Tom) King, of Vandergrift, and Valerie Foreman, of Vandergrift; three grandchildren, Shawn Holmes, Jenelle (Gabe) Cole and Brooke King; a stepgranddaughter, Tammy (Mike) Elwood; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Foreman, in 1993. At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Vandergrift, with Father James Loew, OSB, as celebrant. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DUNMIRE-KERR & ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Burial will be in St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery.
