Candace Monique Banks, better known as Candy, 38 of Richmond, VA was the daughter of Carolyn (Tuttie) Banks and Kenneth Eggleston. After a lengthy illness, Candy found peace on February 1, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Candy joined Liberty Baptist Church at an early age. She was employed at McDonalds for many years until her health declined, but even in bad health she would keep pushing. Candy was a true fighter who would always say when you ask her how she feels, her response was “I won’t complain”. Candy is survived by her father, Kenneth Sr. (Eileen); sisters, Chantel Banks, Cierra, Hallie, Leilah and Ava Eggleston; brothers, Kenneth (Bud) II and Joshua Eggleston; two nieces, Zanyiah and Nijay, one nephew, Niveion whom she loved and cherished them dearly; grandparents, Grandpa George and Grammie Lorraine Eggleston (whom she thought the world of); aunts, Sharon Bowman (Edward), Sherry and Andrea Banks; uncles, Bernard Banks, Gregory “Greg” Sr. (Romona) and Dwayne Eggleston; a host of great aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends, among them her companion, Douglas Dray Taylor, Courtney, Mia, Juanita, Brandon, Antwan, McGhee and Linda. Graveside Services Monday, February 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church, Amelia. Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home of Amelia in charge of arrangements,.
