Helen Spencer Harper, 99, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Randolph County Nursing Home. Helen was born on Thursday, August 4, 1921, in Shirley, Arkansas, to Carl and Ethel Brown Casteel. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas I. Spencer; parents, Carl and Ethel Brown Casteel; son, Sam T. Spencer; brothers, Dennis, Jack and John Castell; and sisters, Jean Oliver and Mona Lee. Helen is survived by her grandchildren, Kris Spencer Dillard, Erik Spencer, Adam Spencer and Alex Spencer; great grandchildren, Rachel Walker, Katie Busching, Thomas Dillard, Hannah Spencer and Liberty Spencer; great great grandchildren, William Walker, Mary Busching, Campbell Busching and Brook Busching;nieces, Glenda Ashley and Billie Reid; great niece, Pam Thielemier; special friends, Melba Crawford, Jan Bridges and Sue White. The service scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2021, has been canceled due to weather. All arrangements are under the direction of the Hope Gardens Funeral Home in Pocahontas.
