Janice Coffey Spake, 79 of Kings Mountain passed Friday, February 5, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Spake was born February 9th, 1941 in Maiden, NC. She was the daughter of the late Carl William Coffey and Roberta Moore Coffey.

Mrs. Spake was a loving wife, mother, aunt, cousin, devoted church member, and a friend to all that had the pleasure to know her. She is survived by a loving husband of 42 years, Donald Spake; son Dusty Spake & daughter-in-law Diana Downs Spake; one granddaughter Alice Robison and husband Eddie Robison; three nieces, Sharon Sain, Annabet Hager and husband Dennis, and Karla Southern and husband Phil; one nephew Billy Marsh, Jr. and wife Stephanie; as well as her beloved canine companions Katie and grand-pup Colby.

She was also preceded in death by son Byran Lewis Spake and daughter-in-law Alice Spake, sister Karlette Coffey Marsh and brother-in-law Billy Gene Marsh, Sr., sister Carolyn Coffee Spake, and infant brother Carl Coffey, Jr. 

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be scheduled by the family at a later date.
