Fred “Freeway” Hunt, 57 years of age, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9th surrounded by family at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah.

Fred was born June 9, 1963 in Orem, Utah to the late and great Joseph & Genevieve Hunt. He was the youngest of 11 children.

Fred was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. Fred spent an accomplished 38 years of service working for Geneva Rock Products in Orem, Utah, fostering many great relationships with co-workers and friends along the way. He was an avid outdoor lover who enjoyed spending time in the mountains camping with his family and friends while cooking up his special ribs. Fred loved working outside and was so proud of his beautiful yard.

He will be lovingly remembered by children & grandchildren. Caprell Hunt, Austin & Shantel Jeffers Hunt, Savannah Frandsen and Sophie Hunt. Grandkids Daxton & Lexi Hunt.

He is survived by his sister Tina Hunt, and five brothers: Michael Hunt, Ross Hunt, Alex Hunt, Ted Hunt, and Larry Hunt, as well as former spouses Lisa Matheny Holmes and Sue Larson Frandsen Hunt.

He is preceded in death by his Sister Stella Hunt Myers and four brothers:  Andy Gonzales, Horace Hunt, Lloyd Hunt, and Gilbert Hunt.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic & travel restrictions, a celebration in Fred’s honor will be postponed to a later date. We would like to gather and celebrate his life in the true “Hunt” fashion, as he would wish!
