Dorothy Arata Zieman, age 93, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 9, 2021. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Louis A. Arata; her second husband, Dr. John A Zieman; and her grandson, Myles Arata. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Louis A. Arata, Jr (Donna), Dr. Vincent Arata (Kati), and Cecile Johnson (Mark); her 7 grandchildren; her 8 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.The family would like express their gratitude to her caregivers at Dauphin Way Assisted Living and Mary's Caregiving Service. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 12, 2021 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 12:00pm, 3704 SpringHill Ave, Mobile, Alabama 36608.
