<p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" new="" roman="" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: " times=""><span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">Elizabeth (Betty) Kost of Trumbull,&nbsp;</span>was born in Peckville, PA, on Dec. 7, 1932. She graduated from&nbsp;Scranton State General Hospital&nbsp;in 1953 as a Registered Nurse.&nbsp;She married John in 1960, and moved to CT, where she was employed for 34 years at Bridgeport Hospital in Pediatrics, where she saved many lives, nursed thousands of children back to health, and comforted their families.&nbsp;A dedicated nurse by vocation,&nbsp;Betty also served as a school nurse and a&nbsp;visiting nurse, a charter member of Trumbull EMS, and a Red Cross volunteer.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" new="" roman="" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; font-size: 12pt; font-family: " times="">After retirement, Betty found a new&nbsp;passion&nbsp;in golf as a member of the Tashua Nine Holers.&nbsp;She won many tournaments and was very proud of her hole in one at&nbsp;Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course.&nbsp;She was an avid swimmer, a member of the Trumbull Women&rsquo;s Club, and a very active member of Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church.&nbsp; Survivors include her husband, John, two daughters, Brenda (Michael) Zepf and Carolyn Kost (Frank Don), two grandsons, Zachary and Nicholas Zepf, and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;She was predeceased by brothers, Andrew, John and George, and sisters, Ann, Helen, Mary,&nbsp;Mildred, Evelyn and Barbara and looked forward to&nbsp;being reunited with them in heaven. A funeral will be held at Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church, 1540 East Main St. Bridgeport, CT on Friday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. and may be joined live on the church&#39;s Facebook page.
