Arthur J. Coppernoll

Arthur J. Coppernoll, 89, passed away peacefully February 9, 2021 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. He was born February 25, 1931 in Saratoga Springs and was the son of the late Harvey and Grace Wilsey Coppernoll. Arthur was a graduate of St. Peters High School. He enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean War. In 1952 he married his high school sweetheart Jean Breen Coppernoll. He was employed at several sports venues, Harry M. Stevens, Ogden Foods and ARA Food Services. He was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa where he ushered at the 8:30am mass on Sunday’s. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and Korean Vets. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Karen Orton Coppernoll; and his 2 brothers-in-law, Len and Ron Breen. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Jean Coppernoll of Saratoga Springs; his 2 children, Michael (Kim) Coppernoll of Florida and Mary Coppernoll Hannon (Peter Canzone) of Saratoga Springs; 4 grandchildren, Randy and Christopher Coppernoll of Florida, Amber (Chad) Barber of Schuylerville, and Courtney Stewart (Quinn Mulholland) of Saratoga Springs; and 7 great grandchildren, Claire, Chloe, Calli and Chace Barber of Schuylerville, Jack and Harper Mulholland of Saratoga Springs, and Stella Coppernoll of Florida. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Saturday, February 13, 2021 at St. Mary’s Church in Ballston Spa. A private burial for family will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Saratoga Springs. The family would like to thank Wesley Health Care Center and especially his nurse Kristin for the daily phone calls. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs or St. Mary’s Church in Ballston Spa.
