Ricardo Cortez Johnson, 88, also lovingly known to family and friends in Frederick as Bubba Dee, departed this earth on Monday, February 1, 2021. He was born on April 16, 1932 to the late Kenneth Johnson and Rachel Dorsey Johnson in Frederick, Maryland. He was the fifth born of six children. Ricardo had his first daughter Wanda Hall in 1949. In March of 1952 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and for 8 years he proudly served his country as a First-Class Airman. During his 8 years of service, he met Daisy Jones of Tampa, Florida and they had a daughter, Angelina Jones. Ricardo received a National Defense Service Medal for Good Conduct and was Honorably discharged in 1960. He later went on to work for Lockheed Martin Corporation as an Aircraft Inspector. In 1964 he met & Married Mary M. Williams of Los Angeles, CA. They were married for 7 years and from this union came two children, Mario C. Johnson & Katrice D. Johnson. Ricardo was dearly loved by so many and will be remembered fondly by his laughter & his impeccable fashion sense. Ricardo is survived by his beloved sister, Gloria Hallmon, of Windsor Mill, MD; his sisters-in-law, Alice L. Smith of Frederick, MD. & Margaret C. Ogle of Baltimore MD; three daughters, Wanda Hall of Taneytown, MD, Angelina Jones, of Tampa, FL, and Katrice Johnson of North Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren: Michelle Johnson of Odenton, MD, Rhonda Hall of Hagerstown, MD, Porsha S. Johnson of Round Lake, IL, Mario M. Johnson II of Adelanto, CA, Elexis K. Johnson of Katy, TX, & Amarion Johnson of Compton, CA., and a host of loving nieces & nephews. Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents: Kenneth M. Johnson & Rachel Mae Dorsey Johnson, his ex-wife: Mary M. Johnson, Son: Mario M. Johnson Sr., Sisters: Mae E. Chaney & Sandra C. Wheaton, Brothers: Richard A. Smith Sr., Lawrence E. Ogle, Orville (Papoose) Johnson & Kenneth Johnson Jr.
