Ann E Otero Obituary

Our mother, Ann E. Otero, passed away on the 30th of January 2021 after a long and adventurous life. She was 87. Ann was born as  Anna Elvira Castillo, in San Francisco, California on August 24, 1933. Ann moved to Watsonville in 1955 and lived and worked here for over six decades.  She loved riding the Metro bus, chatting with people, and going to the casino. She liked translating for others. She enjoyed hearing everyone’s story. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren’s achievements.

She is survived by her four children, a son (Maine), and three daughters (Washington, Sacramento, and San Diego). She was one of 12 siblings and is survived by two sisters. She was proud to be a grandmother of 12; a great grandmother of 12, and great- great grandmother of 1, with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her father, mother, an infant son; 5 brothers, 2 younger sisters, and their spouses. No memorial is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Salvation Army or Alzheimer Foundation. Rest in heaven, Mom. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
