<p>Our mother, Ann E. Otero, passed away on the 30th of January 2021 after a long and adventurous life. She was 87.&nbsp;Ann was born as&nbsp; Anna Elvira Castillo, in San Francisco, California on August 24, 1933. Ann moved to Watsonville in 1955 and lived and worked here for over six decades. &nbsp;She loved riding the Metro bus, chatting with people, and going to the casino. She liked translating for others. She enjoyed hearing everyone&rsquo;s story. She was especially proud of&nbsp;her children and grandchildren&rsquo;s achievements.&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her four children, a son (Maine), and three daughters (Washington, Sacramento, and San Diego). She was one of 12 siblings and is survived by two sisters.&nbsp;She was proud to be a grandmother of 12; a great grandmother of 12, and great- great grandmother of 1, with numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>She was proceeded in death by her father, mother, an infant son; 5 brothers, 2 younger sisters, and their spouses.&nbsp;No memorial is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Salvation Army or Alzheimer Foundation.&nbsp;Rest in heaven, Mom. Mehl&rsquo;s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
