Marlin "Shonee" Wilkes

<p>Mr. Marlin Wilkes, affectionately known as &ldquo;Shonee&rdquo; peacefully entered his eternal rest on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Greenhaven Health &amp; Rehab Facility, Greensboro, NC.&nbsp; Marlin was born on January 22, 1976 in High Point, NC to Margaret Rice Wilkes and Leon Wilkes.</p> <p>Marlin attended Guilford Technical Community College. He enjoyed listening to music, vacationing at the beach, riding around in his clean ride, and spending time with his dog &ldquo;Snoopy&rdquo;.&nbsp; His sister Sheba always cooks wonderful meals that he loved to enjoy from hotdogs, fried chicken, and fish plates.&nbsp; &ldquo;Shonee&rdquo; just loved to eat good food and socializing with his friends, Willie Davis and Marcus Harris. He was known for his brilliant smile and joking personality.</p> <p>In addition to his mother, Marlin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe Dunn and Lucille Rice Dunn; paternal grandparents, Daniel Wilkes and Carrie Wilkes.</p> <p>He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories: his father, Leon Wilkes of Thomasville, NC; three brothers, Rodney (Sharon) Wilkes, Kendrick Wilkes, Orlando Wilkes all of High Point,NC; three sisters, Sheba Wilkes of High Point, NC, Tanashe Jennings of Greensboro, NC, and Kiesha Jennings of Charlotte, NC; a loving and dedicated fianc&eacute; Christina Shelton of Greensboro, NC; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Public Viewing &nbsp;- Walk-Thru&nbsp;Wake Service</p> <p>Sunday, Febuary 14, 2021</p> <p>5:00PM -6:00PM</p> <p>People&#39;s Funeral Chapel</p>
