<p>Paul Megge</p> <p>Born May 31st, 1941, died February 9th, 2021.</p> <p>Priest, Father, Friend</p> <p>After raising a family and 25 years in law enforcement, Fr. Paul was called to become a priest for the Diocese of Gaylord. There he continued to serve, love and be loved by all that knew him, beginning in Elk Rapids, then Cheboygan, and ending in Mackinaw City.</p> <p>Fr. Paul&rsquo;s trust and faith in the goodness of God&rsquo;s love shown through his laughter, words, and works. He lived well and died peacefully and will be greatly missed.</p> <p>Fr. Paul is survived by his sisters, Diane (Sam) Miele and Veronica Paye, children, Gary (Debbie), Michael (Lynn), David (Angela), and Adam (Bev), and grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Hailey, Laurel, Payton, and Vincent. Proceeding Paul in death are his father, George Megge, his mother Mary Ann Kiesling, and his sister Charlotte Brown.</p> <p>There will be a graveside service at Mt. Calvary in Cheboygan on Friday, May 21 at 10:45am.&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Bishop Baraga Catholic School or St.Mary/St.Charles Catholic Church Bell Tower Fund.</p> <p>Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.&nbsp;</p>

After raising a family and 25 years in law enforcement, Fr. Paul was called to become a priest for the Diocese of Gaylord. There he continued to serve, love and be loved by all that knew him, beginning in Elk Rapids, then Cheboygan, and ending in Mackinaw City.

Fr. Paul’s trust and faith in the goodness of God’s love shown through his laughter, words, and works. He lived well and died peacefully and will be greatly missed.
